Our Story

On the 1^st June 1995 we took over the Moana Service Centre. The business was then an automotive workshop, a Dairy and Petrol & Diesel pumps.

We changed the name to Lake Brunner Service Centre Ltd and our journey began.

As David is a fitter/turner by trade it wasn’t long before we started doing engineering and farm maintenance work.  Then as our first summer was approaching the boats and marine servicing and repairs started rolling in.

Over the years we expanded our workshops and the Engineering and Marine work grew quickly.  We did major upgrades to the shop and as the years passed we took on many different opportunities to expand our business to help service our many communities.  Eg.  Lotto, Postal Agency, Fishing Licences, AA call out work and many more.

After 24 years we decided to sell the original parts of the business so we could just concentrate and expand on the engineering and marine areas.

So on the 20^th May 2019 we changed to Lake Brunner Service Centre Ltd – Marine and Engineering

Then in December 2023 we bought back the Automotive business.

On the 1st June 2024 we would have completed 29 years of business in Moana helping to serve our communities in the best way we can.

Our Marine, Engineering and Automotive workshops are constantly busy. We have a very capable and talented bunch of guys who are only too happy to help you with any tricky repairs or rebuilds.

Along with the WOF’s for trailers and motorbikes we can now do WOF’s for cars – bookings essential

So come on in – David, Greg, Eliah, Boaz, William are here to help with anything marine, engineering and automotive and just so much more.
